Vendor qualification

Setting the quality standard in electronic component distribution.

We believe that trusted relationships begin with rigorous qualification. Every supplier we work with is thoroughly vetted, assessed, and continuously monitored to ensure they meet our uncompromising standards for quality, integrity, and reliability.

By integrating risk intelligence platforms like ERAI and GIDEP into our vendor qualification process, we create a multi-layered approach that provides un-matched visibility and protection for your supply chain.

We don’t just qualify suppliers, we set the standard.

Supplier qualification criteria

To maintain the highest levels of supply chain security and product integrity, A2 Global evaluates all vendors against a strict set of qualification requirements, covering regulatory screening, quality management systems verification, and business performance risks.

Basic information & compliance
  • Verified physical location and address
  • Screening against Specially Designated Nationals (SDN), Denied Party, and Unverified Lists (UVL)
  • Review of financial standing (e.g., D&B, ERAI)
  • Industry certifications (ISO9001, AS9100, AS9120, etc.)
Risk & quality management
  • Documented counterfeit risk mitigation procedures
  • Product quality & on-time delivery history via trade portals and internal records
  • Reporting history of suspected counterfeit incidents (ERAI, GIDEP)
  • Active membership with supply chain watchdog organizations (ERAI, GIDEP)

Each supplier is assigned a risk level based on these qualifications — forming the foundation for the inspection and test levels applied to their products.

Supplier performance monitoring

Qualification is not a one-time event — it’s an ongoing responsibility. A2 Global’s supplier monitoring program combines live data, stakeholder feedback, and performance metrics to ensure our vendor network remains compliant, transparent, and accountable.

Monitoring & risk management

  • Preference given to OCMs and authorized/franchised distributors to minimize sourcing risk
  • Real-time risk alerts via ERAI system integration help identify high-risk suppliers and components
  • Supplier performance is evaluated continuously, factoring in delivery reliability, inspection outcomes, and issue resolution
  • Inspection and testing protocols are adjusted as needed, based on supplier history and quality trends
  • Suppliers may be downgraded or restricted due to recurring non-conformances, late deliveries, or unresolved corrective and preventative actions
Electrical Testing

Continuous improvement

  • Issuance of corrective action requests when required
  • Knowledge-sharing on incidents and trends with stakeholders and customers
  • Collaborative efforts to elevate supplier performance and reduce recurring issues
