Quality control process

Setting the quality standard in electronic component distribution

Quality isn’t just a checkpoint — it’s the foundation of everything we do. In a complex and fast-moving global market, our customers rely on us to protect the integrity of their supply chains. That’s why every component we deliver undergoes a comprehensive, risk-based inspection guided by industry standards for the prevention of counterfeit, suspect counterfeit and fraudulent components.

A proactive, risk-based approach to quality

Our process takes multiple critical factors into account, including:

  • Supplier classification & historical performance
  • Inherent supplier risk level
  • Part criticality and impact of failure
  • End-use application and safety requirements.

We don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach to inspection. The level of verification is scaled and matched to the level of risk. This ensures you receive the right inspection intensity and testing—on the right parts, every time.

Electrical Testing

Inspection criteria

A2 Global adheres to a multi-tiered inspection framework aligned with known industry standards, including AS6171. Each level is tailored to the associated risk profile and supplier classification.

Package condition (inner & outer)
Manufacturer & part number verification
Date code & lot traceability
Country of origin
Mechanical dimensions
Marking permanency & solvent testing (Acetone)
Advanced authenticity tests (X-Ray, XRF, Decapsulation, Heated Solvent, etc.)
Electrical DC testing (Ambient)

Each inspection is documented in full, with photographic evidence and measurable data stored for traceability and customer reporting.

Integrated system intelligence

Smarter sourcing. Real-time risk detection.

We enhance our inspection process with powerful data-driven tools to proactively identify risks and prevent counterfeit infiltration:

ERAI database

Access to the industry’s most robust reporting system for counterfeit parts and high-risk suppliers.

Known good library

A2 Global’s proprietary internal archive of manufacturer-direct components used as a benchmark during inspections.

Internal watch list

A continuously updated library that tracks components linked to inspection failures, returns, and quality issues to prevent repeats and improve sourcing decisions.

These tools enable us to assure the authenticity and quality of every component we deliver, providing confidence in your supply chain.

Transparency, reporting & continuous improvement

Our commitment doesn’t stop with inspection. We document and track every inspection and test result, maintaining complete traceability across our global operations.

When applicable, nonconforming suspect parts are reported to ERAI and/or GIDEP in accordance with industry requirements —contributing to broader supply chain integrity and counterfeit mitigation efforts.

We also share relevant insights with our customers to support smarter sourcing decisions, reduce risk, and strengthen long-term supply chain resilience.

Transparency is built into our process — because protecting your business is our responsibility.
